This work is from Albeniz’ Piezas caracteristicas, Op. 92 for solo piano. The title refers to the tower “Torre Bermeja” on the beach “Playa de la Barrosa” in the Province of Cadiz. My guess is that the playful nature of the music is meant to inspire thoughts and feelings of a fun day at the beach.
The arrangement is in the original key. There are unisons in terraced dynamics fashion, and a couple of guitaristic devices: glissandos and rasqueados. The dynamics are a combination of my own suggestions, and from the original publication. It should be mentioned that this music is composed in the Romantic style which opens the door to individual interpretation.
