Soprano Jacqueline Brecheen has been part of the Greater Knoxville community since 2013, at what time she began collaborating with musicians at LeGrand Music Studios. Her main focus at LMS is guiding the development of her students into well-rounded musicians, each with strong foundations in classical technique. Brecheen teaches Voice, Recorder, and Piano, and conducts the LMS Vocal Ensembles. In addition to teaching, she enjoys various performing opportunities as a vocalist who “wears many hats” in regards to genre. Her recent performances include The LMS Christmas Concert, The Tuesday Morning Music Club of Knoxville, the Grand Chapter entertainment for the Louisiana Eastern Star, and the New Music Concert at LeGrand Music Studios. Past stage performances include roles with the Indianapolis Opera, Central City Opera, Indiana University Opera Theater, and Southeastern Louisiana University Opera Theater. She has performed as a soloist with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and been a district winner of the Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions. Jacqueline holds a Masters of Voice from Indiana University Jacobs School of music.
